ABOUT ME:

My name’s Phil and I was born in Stoke-on-Trent and love the city, it’s a great place to live and work.
I’ve been running for a few years now and compete in many half marathons.
I’m always up for a challenge and last year I ran the treetops 10k run, which is a fund raising event for The Donna Louise Hospice Trust.

After running in the treetops 10k race at Trentham Gardens I read about the work which the hospice does. This was inspirational and has moved me to do whatever I can to help raise funds for them, so this year I wanted to do more for my local children’s hospice and with that in mind I developed The 6 Towns Run.

The hospice relies on voluntary donations to raise the £2 million needed every year to continue the vital work they do.
Quite simply, the Donna Louise Hospice would not exist without the support of the public. You can make a difference and help me complete my gruelling challenge by making a donation through my justgiving.com page or through The Donna Louise Hospice website.

With your help, the hospice can continue to provide much-needed support for children and their families. 6 Towns RunX2 + 12 Half marathons in 12 days

webworks

6 TOWNSX2 = 12 HALF MARATHONS IN 12 DAYS.
That’s the challenge before me.

In the year of Stoke-on-Trent’s centenary I plan to run a half marathon a day in each of the six towns that make up the city culminating in running the city council organised 2010K race on Sunday the 30th of May 2010.

My aim is to raise as much money as I can for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust by running a pre planned half marathon route starting and finishing in each of the six towns of Stoke-on-Trent; Tunstall, Burslem, Hanley, Stoke, Fenton and Longton.

I will start on Sunday the 23rd of May and run a half marathon every day that week. I would then have the following Saturday as a rest day before finishing my marathon effort at the official 2010K road race in Stoke on the 30th of May.
Please support my fund raising efforts by making a donation or why not join me for a run. Anyone is welcome to come along and run with me for a mile or two.

Please support me and the work of The Donna Louise Hospice Trust.

Thank you

Phil
